How does a subscription work?

With a Coolblue subscription, you get a high-quality product that always works for a fixed amount per month. With free repairs or replacements, so you're never without one. After 1 year, you can cancel the subscription for free. We'll then pick up the product again, because it remains Coolblue's property. A subscription isn't a form of payment.

Can I buy the product from my subscription?

Yes, you can buy your subscription product from us after 12 months. Until that time, the product you use is property of Coolblue. Do you want to know the costs of buying your product? Send an email to abonnementen@coolblue.nl. Within 1 working day, you'll receive a reply with an offer. You're not obliged to accept the offer, of course.

How do I order a subscription?

View the subscriptions page to see all products you can take out a subscription on at Coolblue. Found your product? Go the to product page of that product and choose 'as a subscription' at the top of the page for the order type. Then follow the steps starting at the shopping cart.

When you order, you'll get an automatic test. If you pass this test, you just have to pay a one-time subscription fee when you check out. We'll then deliver the product at your chosen time. After that, the subscription debit will happen every month around the 29th.

Was your product not delivered and want to cancel your order? You can do so in your My Coolblue account. Want to change your order? Contact our customer service.

How does the payment for a subscription work?

If you order a product with a subscription, you have to make a one-time payment (€ 49 to € 149). After that, you pay a fixed amount per month via direct debit. The amount of the monthly amount differs per product. We'll charge the subscription costs to your account around the 29th of each month. A subscription month at Coolblue runs from the 27th to the 26th of the next month, and you always pay the lease of your product 1 month in advance.

How long does a contract run?

A subscription at Coolblue runs for at least 12 months. After these 12 months, the contract will continue to run as long as you want it to. You can then cancel it every month, free of charge.

A subscription isn't a way to pay off a machine. The product remains Coolbue's property. After the first 12 months, it's possible to buy the product from us. Contact our customer service for this. They can offer you a purchasing option at your request.

How do I cancel my subscription

You can easily cancel your subscription via our customer service. This doesn't cost you anything after 12 months and the cancellation period is 1 month.

You can also cancel free of charge during the satisfaction guarantee. This period lasts up to 30 days after taking out your subscription. After that, the contract expires and you can't cancel it. If you still want to, you'll still have to pay for the remaining months. During the term, you can transfer your contract to someone else.

Why do I need to pay more than expected for my first invoice?

Because you also pay for the days between receiving your product and the start date of the invoice period. We're happy to explain how this works using an example.

Can I get a cashback, discount, or free product when I purchase a subscription?

Unfortunately, you can't benefit from cashbacks, discounts, or free products with a subscription.

How can I transfer my subscription?

Send an email to  abonnementen@coolblue.nl with the order number. We need the following information from the new owner:

  • Name
  • Address
  • Date of birth
  • Email address
  • Phone number

The person that's taking over your contract will receive an IDEAL payment request of €0.01 within 3 working days. After paying this payment request, the transfer is done. From this point on, the installment amount is debited from the new bank account number every month.

How does the repair service work?

If your subscription product breaks, you can contact our Customer Service. We'll ensure that your product is repaired or replaced quickly. No need to worry about the warranty and repair costs. We'll take care of that within 48 hours if you have white goods or large kitchen appliances.

How can I change my bank account number?

The costs of a subscription are automatically charged to your bank account every month. Do you want to change your account number? You can easily do this by sending an email to klantenservice@coolblue.nl.

What do I need to do when I'm moving?

Email your new address and your order number to abonnementen@coolblue.nl. This way, we'll know where to pick up your product when your subscription is finished. You can move your product with Coolblue subscription yourself.
