Not much better on the market!
- Nice image WITH the right settings
- Screen is really fast with its 240Hz.
- Ideal for racing sims.
- Looks a bit cheap because of the plastic.

According to our monitor expert
With the Samsung Odyssey G9 LS49CG954SUXEN 49-inch super ultrawide 240Hz gaming monitor, you enter a new world. Thanks to the large 49-inch super ultrawide screen, you can completely immerse yourself in your games. You can see the entire playing field in front of you, whether you play in first or third person view. The 240Hz refresh rate and 0.03ms response time make this Samsung Odyssey monitor suitable for esports at the highest level. Colors pop off the screen thanks to the Dual QHD resolution and DisplayHDR True Black 400 support. The OLED panel displays colors in a lifelike way, and black colors no longer lose extra light. You experience extra depth and contrast while you game as a result. Time for a break? Switch to your favorite series or videos automatically via the smart hub functions. You can also control all of your connected devices via the monitor, as long as all devices run on the same WiFi network. That way, you can combine gaming with other types of entertainment and you're completely in control. Other functions include the Auto Source Switch, which lets you connect more devices to the same screen. The built-in LED lighting also creates a true light show while you game.

It's a really solid screen and particularly ideal for racing sims. You do get some distortion at the ends. This is easy to solve by setting it up as three monitors. Furthermore, extremely fast that, again, comes into its own in racing sims. The monitor was a bit difficult to adjust properly in terms of settings. Once perfect settings were found by an online reviewer. That does make a significant difference.

The Samsung G9 OLED is a stunning monitor that will suite both gamer and productivity needs. Setup was easy - pairing it with the smartthings app does make the initial config pretty quick and easy. The panel itself is just amazing, deep rich colors that brings the best out of games and productivity. However to get the full potential be prepared to spend some time tuning the colors. Text clarity is not as crisp and sharp due to windows incompatibility of the sub-pixel layout. I would suggest using a 3rd party clear type tuner. And lastly the lack on inputs is not ideal - 1 DP and 2x HDMI for a monitor this expensive is a strange choice by Samsung. This is defnitly a great monitor, proviided you dont need too many inputs I can easily recommend it for anyone gaming and productivity needs
