Firstly, I immediately noticed that the color palette of this monitor is enormously extensive and that the out of the box settings are set as good as perfect, which saves a lot of time. I only recommend lowering the brightness as it can be quite bright. After the very smooth installation of the monitor I played a game of cod wz and it was so nice to play in Quad HD res with that very smooth 165HZ refresh rate. If you are looking for a good game monitor for mainly FPS games like me, I can only recommend this one. The monitor also serves as an excellent Netlfix/Youtube monitor. Sharp image quality combined with the aforementioned color palette ensures a pleasant experience. The only minor drawback I personally notice is that you can only turn it 75° degrees to the right or left 90° degrees would have been perfect. Finally, I am also very satisfied with the software that MSI provides with this monitor (see settings screen), I definitely recommend turning on the adaptive sync & tuning brightness.

It was a bit of deliberation but then chose this msi monitor

It is indeed a Freesync monitor, says Freesync Premium in my AMD settings. The image in games or, for example, a nature film at 1440p is really impressive, it just looks like 4k. The color reproduction and contrast are top notch there. in particular the water with reflections/light is very realistic and flowing. I come from a curved VA panel to this flat screen. And my eyes really have to get used to it. I register a kind of inverted curve in the image. I was afraid of the black values but I think they are fine. Only in the pitch dark did I see my black desktop a bit lighter. I don't see any IPS Glow or blackbleeding. Only in the dark at the bottom left some light in black but no blue glow either. This Monitor has an enormous color gamut range and very fast response times. Is it just Hossana then? No: The color spectrum is not really regulated. I don't see anything in the OSD in terms of RGB. You can't set the gamma value either. And therefore you have very saturated colors (SDR) eg the color of your desktop background. So calibration is not easy. Or you are at peace with how it is out of the box.
