The AOC C27G2ZU/BK is a 27-inch gaming monitor with a high refresh rate and brightness. This allows me to play fast shooters with ease. The curved design of the monitor and the sound through the built-in speakers also allow me to immerse myself even better in my games. The only downside is that the screen has a standard Full HD resolution, despite the high speeds. If you are not looking for graphics and colors that pop off the screen, then this will of course not bother you. Fast movements and transitions The 240Hz refresh rate and 0.5ms response time ensure smooth movements and fast transitions. This is especially useful in competitive shooters and racing games. I personally tested Halo Infinite via Xbox Game Pass, after connecting the monitor to my gaming laptop. The high speeds came in handy, especially in multiplayer. Nothing is more annoying than stuttering when an opponent appears on the screen, but I have not had that problem once with this monitor. Clear screen What struck me during testing was the good brightness of the screen. I tested the monitor during the day with lots of lighting around me, but the screen was clearly visible. The maximum brightness of the screen is 350 nits, but I didn't have to set it to the maximum. Furthermore, this monitor has a standard Full HD resolution. This makes the graphics look as good as the average monitor. Not special, but fine for a gaming monitor. Large curved screen This AOC monitor has a curved screen, so the sides curl around my field of view, as it were. This way I feel like I'm in the action of the game. The built-in speakers enhance this effect. If you have not had a curved monitor before, this may take some getting used to. I now think it really adds something to my gaming experience. In short: the AOC C27G2ZU/BK has high specifications for a favorable price with its 240Hz screen and 0.5 response time. Don't expect the highest graphics with this monitor, because that is not what it is intended for. This gaming monitor is really for gamers who play fast, competitive games at a high level.
