Philips 27E1N1900AE/00

I was allowed to test the Philips 27E1N1900AE/00 screen. Because I work from home an average of 4 days a week, I have used it intensively. The 4k resolution is very sharp, very nice to work with. I also had no problems with my eyes. The monitor has an IPS panel. The advantage is that you have a sharp image from all angles. I work with multiple screens myself and really found this to be a plus. Furthermore, the installation is quite simple, the screen has a nice foot and is at a good height. The sound is of inferior quality. It is also not a monitor for gaming, really for working from home. I definitely recommend it for this purpose!

Ease of installation: Sturdy box and well packed! 1.5 meter power cord, 1.8 meter USB C cable and 1.4 meter HDMI cable included. The foot can be assembled by tightening a locking screw by hand. then mount the plate with 4 supplied screws on the back. (can only be mounted horizontally). Ease of use: You can turn the screen on and off using the joystick right behind the screen. and very easily through the menu To the right: you will find the menu and you can set everything. To the left: quick preferences to set the scene (Easy read, Office, photo, Movie, Game, economy, low blue mode, smart uniformity, off. Up select the inputs HDMI1, HDMI2 and USB-C input Down the volume goes softer and then immediately up louder. (sound is tinny) 4K UHD resolution and IPS technology: High resolution of the screen is very nice with photo and video editing and can handle the 4K perfectly! everything is clearly visible for at least 65 cm distance. (even 80cm distance very nice to watch. The IPS screen has a high color range so that the graphics of your photo and video and look very realistic. due to the matte screen and wide viewing angle, the images are sharp and can be seen well from all viewing angles! I was allowed to test the screen for Review.nl, after a week of taking photos and Drone Videos in Switzerland I have now edited them with the Philips 27E1N1900AE/00. After 4x 10 hours behind the screen I have no problems, and the Philips still looks very nice. Conclusion: very easy to install, nice operation and very nice 27inch format where you can sit for hours on end!

I was looking for a 4K screen that could connect directly to my MacBook (M1) without an HDMI adapter. I wanted to be able to adjust the height so that it sits ergonomically well at my desk. Furthermore, speakers, USB hub and HDMI (for potentially other equipment) were nice extras. The screen was very cheap and that is why I ultimately chose it. Unfortunately, for me and my standard Ikea desk and chair, the adjustable height is not enough. I needed an extra 6cm of height and then I had to tilt the screen slightly. A thick pack of printer paper or a monitor stand from Ikea solves this. I should have estimated this better before purchasing, but it is still a flaw in the design. The screen is at its brightest just bright enough to see all corners reasonably evenly. The built-in speakers work OK to hear a notification or similar, but not suitable for even soft background music. MacBook speakers are HiFi in comparison... In short, an acceptable screen for the office, would have appreciated a slightly higher standard and a slightly brighter image. Happy that it works without any problems with my MacBook.
