Description
Turn your laptop into a productive workstation with the ACT USB-C Triple 4K Docking Station ac7048. WIth this docking station, you can expand your workplace with all your peripherals. Thanks to the DisplayLink technology, you can easily connect up to 3 monitors with a 4K resolution to your Windows laptop or MacBook. This way, you can open multiple windows at the same time on up to 4 screens in total. The ACT dock also has multiple USB-A ports for your mouse, keyboard, and external hard drive. You don't have to worry about an empty battery while you're working. The dock also charges your laptop, if it supports Power Delivery. The dock also has an Ethernet port for stable, wired internet. Do you have online meetings or want to listen to music while you work? Connect headphones and a microphone as well.
This docking station works with all Windows laptops and MacBook models with a USB-C port that transmit a video signal. This is how you check if your laptop has a suitable USB-C port.

It just works
- Easy to connect
- Three monitor support
I replaced a dual-monitor dock from StarTech with this one. I use 2 laptops at my desk (HP Elitebook and Lenova Yoga Slim 7). On the Elitebook I didn't need to install anything it just worked. With the Yoga I needed to install the DisplayLink driver, but this was not a problem at all. Once the driver was installed it works flawlessly. With the StarTech dock I constantly ran into issues of power delivery dropping out, not detecting monitors, or simply giving up and not giving me any display until multiple power cycles. So far, I have had no issue with this dock, it just works! The only thing missing for me is an audio output on the rear-side, but I knew that when purchasing it.

Works fine, but requires software for DisplayLink on an Apple computer. And it stays in place despite all the stiff cables connected.

I had been looking for a docking station to make my (home) workplace more comfortable, so that I didn't have to fiddle with cables every morning/evening to get everything connected. The DisplayLink (driver downloadable separately) works fine, and all I have to do is move the USB-C cable from one device to the other.
