Tip 1: lower the brightness of your television
The energy consumption of your television depends on the brightness. The lower the brightness, the less energy you consume. Look for the right brightness at the time you watch TV the most.
Tip 2: turn on the eco mode of your TV
Nowadays, TVs have different settings like a sensor for ambient light and high contrasts. This isn't always very energy-efficient. Try the eco mode, which reduces the energy consumption of your TV.
Tip 3: don't stream your music via your television
When you do this, your screen is on for no reason. That's a waste of energy. Think of an AUX cable or a speaker with Bluetooth or WiFi. That's much more efficient.
Tip 4: consider a smart plug
Set up a schedule via the app of your plug to completely turn off the plug at night and during office hours, for example. This prevents standby power and your TV won't be on for no reason.
