Everything on saving energy
Washing and drying
Washing your clothes or bedding costs water and energy. Wash with a full drum, choose a lower temperature, and use the eco cycle. Hang your laundry on the line as much as possible. Do you want to keep your towels soft in the dryer? Choose an energy-efficient heat pump dryer to save on your energy bill.
Heating
A large part of your energy bill consists of heating costs. You save a lot of energy by heating your house sustainably. Consider floor heating, good insulation, or automatic temperature control, for example.
Kitchen
You can easily reduce your energy consumption in the kitchen. Make sure your fridge has enough ventilation space. It also helps if you replace old appliances. What applies often is: the older the appliance, the more power it consumes.
Lighting
Still have incandescent or halogen light bulbs? Replace them with LED or compact fluorescent bulbs. You can also lower your energy bill by only using your lighting when you really need it. Profit from the daylight during the day to save energy, for example.
Media & Entertainment
You can save energy on your television, sound system, or computer with the same ease. For example, choose a TV that isn't too large. The larger the product, the more energy it consumes. Are you going to stream music? Do this on your Bluetooth speaker instead of on your television, so that you use less energy.
Standby power
