The European drone rules came into effect on 31 December 2020. These European rules mean that there is no difference between an amateur and a professional drone pilot. For drones that weigh more than 250 grams, you need a drone certification. Drone Flight Academy offers 2 courses. These are a kind of drone training, where you learn to fly safely with your drone. The Basic Light course is suitable for drones up to 500 grams, which fall in the lowest risk category A1 or A3. If your drone is heavier than 500 grams, you need the Basic course.
