How do you place the Claris Smart water filter in your JURA D6?
Get started with the water filter
Follow the instructions in the video to place the water filter the right way. This takes about 10 minutes. We'll take you through the steps:
- Step 1. Remove the old water filter
- Step 2. Install the new water filter
- Step 3. Rinse the water filter
You need:
- JURA Claris Smart water filter
- Container of at least 500ml
How often should you replace the water filter?
To make sure there's no limescale buildup in your coffee machine, you have to replace the water filter about once every 3 months. The display will show a notification when it's time. That's useful, because you don't have to keep track of it yourself. You can only use the JURA Claris Smart water filter. That's the only filter that fits in the JURA D6 water tank.
Step 1. remove the old water filter
- On the display you'll see 'filter' and 'espresso' alternate when it's time to replace the water filter.
- Remove the water tank from the coffee machine.
- Empty the water tank.
- Open the filter holder and remove the used filter from the water tank.
- Place the new water filter in the water tank.
- Close the filter holder.
Step 2: rinse the water filter
- Fill the water tank until the 'max' line and place the full water tank back in the machine.
- Place a container of at least 500ml under the hot water outlet.
- You'll see 'open dial' on the display.
- Turn the dial from the 'I' to the steam function.
- You'll see 'filter rinses' on the display. Water will now come out of the machine.
- When you see 'close dial' on the display, turn the dial back to the 'I'.
- Remove the collection tray and empty it in the sink.
- The display shows 'espresso'.
- You have successfully installed the water filter in your JURA D6.
