How do you descale your JURA D6 coffee machine?
Get started with descaling
In this video, we'll show step-by-step how to descale your coffee machine. Descaling takes about 45 minutes. We'll go through these steps with you:
- Step 1. Prepare for descaling
- Step 2. Start descaling
- Step 3. Rinse the machine
You need:
- JURA Descaling Tablets (3 units)
- Measuring cup of at least 500ml
- Container of at least 500ml
Do you use a water filter? Remove it from the water tank when you descale. Place it back after descaling, or replace it with a new water filter.
How often should you descale?
The JURA D6 will give you a notification when you have to descale the machine. If you replace the Claris Smart water filter on time, you'll only have to descale the coffee machine once every 2 years. That's because this water filter prevents 99% of the limescale. We recommend that you use JURA descaling tablet. That way, you're sure you clean the coffee machine the right way, without damaging the machine. You can also make sure the warranty of the coffee machine doesn't void, which can happen if you use the wrong cleaning agents.
