An infrared heater or infrared panel gives off radiant heat, so you can heat a specific place in the house. This makes infrared heating more energy-efficient than other electric heaters. An IR panel is mainly suitable for heating small spaces, such as a workplace or bathroom. Because these heaters don't heat the air, they're not suitable as main heating. Heaters in the higher price range are suitable as main heating. These heaters are 30 to 50% more efficient than a central heating system.
