How does Coolblue Energy connect solar panels in the fuse box?
What do we adjust?
On the installation day, we'll run a cable from the inverter to your fuse box. The power generated from your solar panels goes to the fuse box via the inverter. We then connect the solar panels to the main meter and the main fuse with cables. We also expand your fuse box right away, so we connect the solar panels to a new group in your fuse box. This prevents short circuits in other groups. If necessary, we replace the distribution board or the main switch. Once everything is connected, we check whether everything works well.
What type of fuse box do you need?
Before we start working on your fuse box, we have a number of conditions:
- Your fuse box meets the NEN1010 standard.
- Your fuse box has a 1-phase or 3-phase connector.
Do you have a 1-phase connector? Have your fuse box reinforced by your network operator. Are you unsure whether your fuse box complies with these rules? Contact us, so one of our advisors can help you. If necessary, we'll replace your old fuse box during the installation.
What happens to the generated power?
The power you generate with your solar panels is automatically distributed by the fuse box. Turning on the dishwasher or washing machine? The fuse box then sends the solar power you generate to those appliances. Do you generate more power than you currently use? The fuse box then returns the energy to the grid, for which you receive a compensation. We call this net-metering.
