We've recently started cooking on an AEG induction cooktop, and one thing's for sure: we don't want to go back to our old way of cooking (gas). The boost function is brilliant; just put a pan of water on it and you can see it boiling in the blink of an eye. The boil-over protection is also super handy; it detects when it's about to boil over and automatically reduces the power.
We regularly use the timers for each cooking zone. These automatically switch off a zone, ideal for pasta, rice, or boiling an egg. We also regularly use the bridge function to connect two zones and heat a grill plate evenly. It works perfectly.
The cooktop is very intuitive to use and incredibly easy to clean. Just a wipe and you're done. Design-wise, it's a beautiful and modern cooktop that looks great in our kitchen. The noise is minimal, but you can hear some humming on high power.
One thing to note is the installation. A separate (more powerful) connection was required, and it took a while to get everything set up. That was quite a bit of work, but definitely worth it considering the convenience of cooking on a daily basis.
