ASUS ExpertBook B1502CVA-BQ0491X QWERTY

I am currently writing this review from this laptop. I was initially skeptical about the screen, but the 1080p Edge lit panel turned out to be a pleasant surprise. It is bright and sharp, making it suitable for long work sessions without eye strain. The colors are vibrant, which is not always self-evident in this price range. The 13th generation Intel processor i5 1350U in combination with 16 GB of RAM (possibly expandable to 48 GB) handled all my tasks without any problems. From dozens of browser tabs to spreadsheets and presentations, it did it without any hiccups. Watching Netflix also went smoothly. The SSD also offers fast data retrieval, which is a boon for productivity. Typing on this laptop is a piece of cake. The keys have a satisfying travel and are well spaced, which is crucial for typing accuracy. The touchpad is responsive and supports multi-finger gestures, which improves the overall user experience. Although the battery life is enough to get through part of the working day, I think the 42Wh capacity is on the small side. It's enough for several hours of work, but if you're used to all-day battery life without a charger, this could be a limitation.

Very nice laptop to work with. I immediately bought two for my company and I notice that these laptops are really designed for companies. Everything is well put together, it has a sturdy housing that should be able to withstand a beating (fortunately not yet tested) and is compact enough to easily take with you to customers. The keyboard is very nice and it is very nice that the laptop uses a USB charger. If you have forgotten your charger, you can solve this by using one that you happen to have nearby. In addition, the laptop is also nice and fast. My accounting program, Outlook and Excel run smoothly.

I was allowed to test this business laptop for 2 weeks. The laptop weighs little, only 1.7 kg. Has sufficient connections: 2x USB C for charging and e.g. a mobile phone, ; HDMI; network connection; 2 regular USB-A connections; headphone connection. The laptop has a black plastic casing, where you can quickly see fingerprints and smudges. That's a shame. For a business laptop you expect a casing that gets dirty less quickly due to fingerprints. Whether this is still solid after a few years of intensive business use, practice will show. The laptop has anti-slip strips on the bottom, so that it stands firmly on your desk. You only notice the illuminated keyboard in a dim or dark room. Directly next to the letter keyboard is the numeric keyboard, where the +, -, * and / are placed above the numbers. This makes the laptop slightly narrower, but it takes some getting used to. The Num-lock key does not have a built-in light to indicate that it is switched on. The laptop starts up in less than 10 seconds and is also very fast. With light use, you can use a full battery for more than 8 hours. With heavier use, only almost 6 hours. The laptop gets quite warm during charging, which is not very pleasant during use. The matte screen with a thin edge has good color and drawing reproduction. Unfortunately, a memory card reader is missing.
