Twelve South HiRise Pro MacBook Stand with MagSafe

It seemed like a top laptop stand. The material and design is really qualitative but the height is barely adjustable. It seemed like a very adaptable position, but once out of the box it was disappointing. It is fully height barely 14cm and you can't adjust the tilt position either.

I needed something to raise my MacBook to the same height as my screen, and the HiRise does just that (just not). However, the HiRise is skewed, is not level and that also turned out to be the case with the replacement model. 2 out of 3 colleagues who had also purchased it had also received a crooked version. For such an expensive item, I expected better quality.

Went looking for a height-adjustable laptop stand for working from home. I also saw these at Apple itself and AMac store, not in stock. So ordered from Coolblue, quick and easy! The stand is very nice and well packaged. You can use the box for other things.. for example to get your laptop a little higher?! The laptop stand is adjustable in height, but cannot be set in such a way that it meets health and safety standards (top edge of screen at eye level). So you can use the box for that, for example. The pedestal is made of nice material. However, the rod that can go up and down is very wobbly, especially at the highest position. As a result, your laptop can sometimes become crooked, but it is easy to straighten out again. For this amount you do not only expect a nicely packaged laptop stand, but also a decent, sturdy thing. That is unfortunately not the case. I was able to purchase this at a discount but to be honest I didn't pay 79 euros for this, I think there are better alternatives for that kind of amount.
