There's a handle on the side, which allows you to hold the tablet firmly. You can bend the handle and place the tablet upright when your child is watching a movie, for example. The cover is quite stiff, so it can be difficult to put the tablet in the cover or to take it out. The kids cover has all the cutouts, including one for the charging port for example.

Note: the cover comes with a black plastic frame. You have to remove this before you can place your tablet in the cover.
