Description

The Steelseries Rival 5 Gaming Mouse has the balance, sensor, and RGB lighting that you can expect on the desk of a serious gamer. With the fit of the Rival series, Steelseries trusts the mouse that many pro gamers have been using for years. With no less than 9 buttons, you have more than enough to set shortcuts. Or, use the mouse to click through your browser and and quickly go to the next or previous tab. Every click registers because the mouse has mechanical switches. This way, you're sure that your actions actually happen in-game. And via the software, you can set the lift-off distance and choose what colors the lighting of the mouse lights up in.

Best precision, buttons, weight, software, full XXL palm gri

  • SteelSeries precision may be the best
  • Getting used to light clicking buttons, not really a -

Palm with preference for mouse completely under the hand is hard to find with large hands, especially with enough buttons. This one comes close to what is big enough for me in size mainly because of the shape; previous G604 is slightly bigger but worse in almost everything. Software was great with Rival500, now has a weird SteelSeries hub(GG) that you start up first, but the software itself is still perfect, does what it's supposed to do with no extra nonsense with minimal resource usage, the hub only costs an extra click in the end to the mouse settings. Also very reasonable prices from release on SteelSeries. For reference, "large" is relative and this is quite important in finding the right mouse, measured from top middle finger to top of wrist with open hand; in my case 21.5cm

Ideal for multiple types of games

  • More buttons, useful for different games
  • Sensor is very accurate
  • If you have a smaller hand you will have more trouble reaching the button on your thumb

Having more buttons is useful if you play more games than just FPS.

The right size for you: the 60% rule

How large is a mouse exactly? It's often difficult to see on a photo. That's why we thought of the thumb rule below.

Choose a mouse that takes up more than half of the surface of the dimensions of your hand. You can find the dimensions of the mouse under the specifications.

Your hands are often 2 times longer from your wrist to the tip of your middle finger than that it's wide from your little finger to the knuckle of your thumb. The closer the length and width a mouse come to 60% of the length and width of your hands, the more likely it is that the mouse feels comfortable in your hand.
