According to our keyboard expert
The Razer Cynosa V2 Gaming Keyboard is an excellent choice for beginning gamers who are looking for a gaming keyboard. The keyboard has 22 lighting zones, that you can light up to your own liking. Tipping over a drink is no longer a disaster, because this keyboard is splash proof. The membrane keys have a soft yet noticeable keystroke, which feels nicer when you game than a standard keyboard. And you won't be bothered by ghosting, because the keyboard registers up to 10 keystrokes at the same time.

Razer has a very wide range of (gaming) keyboards, almost all mechanical. Although mechanical switches provide faster and more precise responses, I was looking for a keyboard with membrane switches. The reason for that is the sound. The sound of mechanical switches drives me crazy and prefers quiet keystrokes to super fast response times. Because I want to be able to use Synapse 3, in my opinion the most versatile peripheral control software available today, it had to be a Razer keyboard. By combining those two requirements, I almost immediately arrived at this keyboard. After using it for a while I found some pros and cons. [+] Cable management: This keyboard has 3 different cable ducts at the bottom. This allows you to choose whether the cable exits the keyboard on the left, right or in the middle. This can help to keep the table as clean as possible. [+] RGB: Because it is a gaming keyboard, it must of course come with color lighting. As is obvious with Razer products, the lighting on this keyboard is top notch. Very bright, and it can be programmed per individual key (including the media keys) with Synapse 3. You can do a lot, and I mean a lot of cool things with Synapse 3 and RGB. [+] Medium keys: Like the Ornata line, Cynosa keyboards have medium keys. It falls between the standard keys on a laptop and the very high keys on most mechanical keys. This certainly gives it top-class typing comfort. [+] Spindle-resistant: Ever involuntarily decided to give your keyboard a drink too? Due to the rubber dome and membrane construction, this keyboard does not give up in one go if you spill a drink on it. Of course you should dry it if that happens. (-) Rubber cable: The cable in this keyboard is the standard rubber variant. It is not exactly flexible and breaks faster than a braided cable. I understand that this must be a budget keyboard, but it would have been nice if this model had a more high-quality cable. Especially since Razer also offers budget products that do have this. (-) Media buttons: It's nice to have these, and I couldn't live without them. But the execution of specifically these keys is mediocre at best. The backlight of the media keys is noticeably less bright than the rest of the keyboard. However, the most annoying are the volume up and down buttons. You have to press these just right if you want to adjust the volume and if you don't or in a hurry, they sometimes don't register properly. All in all, a very nice keyboard. For competitive gaming, this may not be the right category. But for a keyboard with excellent lighting and a low price, or a gaming keyboard with all the advantages that entails that is also relatively quiet, the Cynosa V2 is definitely recommended.

Great keyboard, you have the choice to go for more expensive Razer keyboards, but this one also works fine. You can edit all the lights in the Razer software. The dimensions are the same as the more expensive keyboards.
