Samsung T7 Touch Portable SSD 2TB Black

This is now my third SSD Touch7, not because the others are defective, certainly not. I use them for backing up my data on both a Mac and Windows PC. The Touch button works fine to unlock the drive with your finger. And when the Touch T7 is locked, the data is no longer accessible. The only bad thing is that with a software update, fingerprint recognition has to be disabled first and after the update it has to be reconfigured. Fortunately, the number of updates is not too bad.

This small SSD offers you lightning-fast data transfer for both reading and writing. The condition is that you use a recent computer/laptop, which makes the use of USB-C possible. When using a regular USB cable, the speed also drops significantly. In addition to the incredible speed, an SSD has some other advantages: surprisingly small, shock-free, easy to carry and silent. Moreover, this SSD is one of the few that has a finger scanner to protect your data. This works very well by the way. Also, because of a temporary offer on Coolblue, I got a good deal (thanks Coolblue)! SSDs are generally a lot more expensive than the much cheaper HDD. After the first experiences I am very satisfied... and yet I hesitated for a while to return this SSD. With each use, a VERY annoying blue light comes on. Not only is it a moving light around the finger scanner, but it also gives a pretty bright, horrible blue light. Given the quality of the materials, the super speed and especially the good price, I decided to keep this SSD. There is a brother of this T7 without a finger scanner (and therefore without a light), but that costs a bit more.
