Lenovo ThinkPad Hybride USB-C and USB-A Docking Station

This dock apparently uses 'DisplayLink' over USB. This system has the disadvantage that the video output is always slightly behind (for example, this is annoying when operating your mouse). Even when displaying full-screen video, you occasionally have to deal with flicker and other artifacts. For office use this is at most a bit inconvenient and you have to get used to it, as a Software Developer/Creator you will soon get annoyed by it, and for gaming this dock is simply unusable. I can't believe this dock has been named "Coolblue's Choice" without clearly stating this feature. Having specs to control two 4K monitors is nice, but the real world performance of this expensive product is not as expected in such a context. * This conclusion was drawn after extensive testing with several different laptops, HDMI/Displayport/USB-C/ThunderboltAlt cables, driver/firmware updates, telephone support from Lenovo and even received a replacement copy from Coolblue to rule out defects. The tests were done on three < 2 year old Windows 10 and 11 laptops (intel i5s & i7s). The solution to this problem seems to be to buy another docking station that does support Thunderbolt and does not default to DisplayLink.

Can also be used for docking a Macbook! Just install the DisplayLink Manager app.

At first sight a very extensive docking station that has everything you need. Unfortunately, after a few weeks I have to report that the docking station loses a lot of connection with the screens when the laptop goes into sleep or hibernate mode. When restarting the laptop, the screens no longer turn on. Frustration...
