A 130 euro e-reader that you throw through the letterbox on my stone floor? And the one that disappears in the postman's mail bag without a track & trace code? Then take emergency measures to make the fall as soft as possible: see the photo. Fortunately (because the thin mailing envelope contained hardly any material to dampen the shock) my tactics worked ;-) But next time just put such electronics in a package again please!

I've been using the Kobo Glo HD for several years now, and the only thing missing was the 'Comfort Light' feature, which the Kobo Aura ONE released last year introduced. The Kobo Clara HD The difference between the Glo HD and Clara HD is in the speed of the system and the lighting. The rubber back of the Glo HD has been exchanged for a nice and good feeling hard plastic, 'perforated' so that it does not slip out of your hand. The screen is of the same high quality, with the addition of the aforementioned Comfort Light. Finally, there is the software. This one is quite well put together. Unlike the Kindle, Kobo reads everything from PDF to ePub to CBZ. It is also possible to easily transfer books that were not purchased through Kobo's own e-store onto the device. It works just like a USB stick: connect the e-reader to your computer, and copy the file to the drive. There is also software developed by third parties to use instead of Kobo's software (koreader), but it may take a while before this is available on the Clara.
