According to our slowcooker expert
You can now prepare tasty dishes that preserve their taste and vitamins in the Crock-Pot Slow Cooker 4.7L. Fill the slow cooker with fresh ingredients in the morning and set the timer for a period ranging from 30 minutes to 20 hours. When the dish is ready, the pot switches to the keep-warm function. Thanks to this, your dish is ready when you come home in the evening after a long day of work. You can relax on the couch after dinner, because the separate parts of the slow cooker just go into the dishwasher.

A very nice slow cooker of good / heavy quality including a timer. Get away from home and come back to a lovely smelling house! I have already made 5 recipes from soup to pulled pork and chicken with soy sauce or vegetable dishes. You really notice the added value for meat, the flavors stay well in the pan and only little moisture is needed (nothing evaporates!). Even the vegetables are not overcooked, but just right, I was afraid the piece would be cooked. Be careful with the herbs and sambal use when making, the flavors remain so strong that you need less sambal / herbs. Another advantage is that you can throw everything in the pan the day before, just put the inner pan in the fridge and the slow cooker the day after, delicious! The only downside I can think of is that you have to plan a bit more what/when you eat because most dishes have to be up for at least 3 hours! But you get the most delicious dishes in return. I already had a Tajine, and was afraid it wouldn't be an addition, but it sure is! 4.7 liters is sufficient for at least 6 to 8 people with only meat dishes. And for at least 4 people if you make an all-in dish (meat-vegetables-rice for example). I recommend this size, there are only 2 of us, you can quickly make larger portions of soup, etc. handy for the freezer!

Ideal for Belgian stews, grandma's pulled pork and delicious Indian curries! The timer is also super handy. I have already made a lot in it and gave both my children one as a gift for Christmas.

This is my second slow cooker. In one size bigger than the other. In this way I can make two Indian dishes at the same time, for example, without having to worry about it. With 4.7L, this one is a liter bigger than my other one, so I'm more flexible in that too. Especially because it is advised to fill the pot half to three quarters full for the best results. So the amount you want to make makes a difference. In the meantime I have used the slow cooker several times and am very satisfied. It's easy that this one goes to keep warm after cooking, my other doesn't have that. If you only buy one slow cooker, it is important that you look carefully at the amount you are going to prepare, in other words for how many people. This certainly makes enough for 4-6 people and sometimes even 8. That also means that smaller amounts such as an oatmeal or cereal breakfast (really great wake up by the way!) will not really succeed unless you put a smaller container in the pot and fill it. with some water. I am now a full slow cooker fan and have even bought a third, small one (1.5L) and enough cookbooks to last a while. The pans are used several times a week here so know what you're getting yourself into before buying a slow cooker :)
