The most well-known type of American fridge is the side-by-side fridge. The fridge and freezer compartment side by side, and the fridge has two doors. This gives you vertical storage space with many shelves. Every side-by-side fridge has No Frost, which means you'll never have to defrost the freezer compartment. The side-by-side fridge is also referred to as a double door fridge.
