4 tips to save on your heating
Tip 1: close the doors in your home
An open door, but a tip that can quickly help you save. Keep your indoor doors closed. This keeps all the heat in the room you're in, which prevents you from unnecessarily turning up the heating to keep warm.
Tip 2: use draft strips
Crevices around windows and doors let in cold air and allow warm air to escape. Draft strips are metal or plastic slats with a row of hairs or a rubber edge. You can attach them around the edge of your doors and window to close off possible crevices. This way, the temperature stays the same better.
Tip 3: lower the thermostat with 1°C
You'll barely notice if the thermostat is 1°C lower, but you can quickly save up to € 90 on your annual energy bill. Do you have a smart thermostat? Set it up to automatically lower the heating when you're not home.
Tip 4: only heat up rooms you're in
Turn off the heating in rooms you're not in, like the bedroom during the day. Smart radiator knobs help you manage the temperature per room. That way, you don't unnecessarily heat up a room and you save energy.
