Why are there different fixed supply costs for customers with solar panels?
Extra costs
On sunny days, we generate a lot of green energy together. If you generate more energy than you use at that moment, you feed it back to the power grid. But often when you feed back to the power gird, the demand for energy is lower than the supply. As a result, the prices decrease and can even be negative. Energy suppliers have to sell that power to the market when there's a surplus.
If the yield is low, the energy suppliers buys energy for you. The energy prices are then often higher than average. The net-metering arrangement allows you to offset the generated power against the used power, so you often pay nothing or little for this power. This leads to a lot of extra costs for energy suppliers.
New fixed supply costs
The fixed supply costs are different for customers with solar panels to keep green energy fair for everybody. On this page, you'll find a couple of situations.
Do you take out a new contract with us and do you have solar panels? You'll pay a higher amount of fixed supply costs per month for energy. If you generate up to 5000kWh with your solar panels, you'll have to pay € 25 on fixed delivery costs per month. In the price buildup on our registration page, you can see how much your fixed supply costs are.
Do you have solar panels with us and a fixed contract? The fixed supply costs from your contract apply. These will apply until the end of your current fixed contract.
We don't charge extra for gas, this is € 7.50. Don't have solar panels? The costs for electricity and gas are € 7.50 per product per month.
Dynamic Hourly Rates
Don't want higher fixed supply costs? Choose our dynamic energy contract. With a dynamic energy contract, you pay a fixed € 5 of supply costs for energy. Whether you have solar panels or not.
