In this article, we'll explain 3 types of noises coming from your oven:

  • Buzzing
  • Vibrating
  • Ticking or crackling

Buzzing noise

Buzzing noise

There's a fan at the back of the oven that distributes hot air through the appliance. The fan turns on for some oven settings, such as the fan function. This causes a buzzing sound. The cooling fan is also activated. It protects the electric parts from the heat. When you turn off the oven, this fan continues to rotate until the oven is properly cooled down.

Vibrating noise

Vibrating noise

Do you have an oven with a steaming function? During the steaming program, your oven draws water from the water tank with a water pump. This vibrating noise that is caused by this process is normal.

Ticking or crackling noise

Ticking or crackling

The oven gets quite hot when you use it. As a result, some of the materials expand or they shrink when the program ends. This causes a ticking or crackling noise. These sounds are normal as well.
