What are the different techniques of AEG ovens?
Techniques from AEG ovens
AEG ovens have useful techniques that help you out in the kitchen. In this article, you can read how you clean your oven with the pyrolyse function and we explain more about Connected Cooking. In addition, we give information about the difference between SteamBake, SteamCrisp, SteamBoost, SteamPro, and CombiQuick. And we tell you more about the AirFry and the Easy2Clean baking trays by AEG.
Burn dirt at a high temperature
Many AEG ovens have pyrolysis. This is a cleaning system that burns dirt and fat at a high temperature. Before you start the pyrolyse function, you remove the sheets and conductors from the oven. You then choose P1 for light cleaning or P2 for stubborn dirt and rests. P1 takes 1.5h and P2 takes 3h. When the oven is cooled down, you can wipe the dirt with a moist cloth.
Assistance for cooking with Connected Cooking
When you connect your oven to the My AEG Kitchen App on your smartphone via WiFi, you can check the status of your dish on your phone. That way, you can keep an eye on the time and temperature and adjust them remotely while you sit in the garden. In the app, you can also find preparation tips and inspiration for recipes.
Difference in steam ovens
The steam ovens differ from each other in various ways. The SteamBake has a notch for water, but the SteamCrisp, SteamBoost, and SteamPro have a refillable water tank, for example. You can reach professional results with the SteamPro, while the SteamBake only adds steam at the beginning. In this video, Manon explains the difference between the AEG steam ovens again.
SteamBake: bake crispy bread with steam
A SteamBake oven is a multi-functional fan oven with steam support. At the bottom of the oven, there's a small notch for about 100ml of water. The water evaporates in the first few minutes, causing steam to develop. The humid air ensures steady heating and makes your rolls crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Even semi-finished products, like pastries and snacks, are tastier. In addition, these models have a pyrolyse function that cleans your oven.
SteamCrisp: prepare dishes with steam
The SteamCrisp is a multi-functional fan oven with built-in steaming function as well. On the outside, there's a refillable water tank. The oven adds water to our dish during the baking process. When the tank is empty, you'll receive a notification. With the oven, you can fry chicken and heat up leftovers from yesterday while remaining the same taste and structure. This takes about 10 minutes longer than with a microwave, but your food tastes way better.
SteamBoost: prepare dishes with steaming trays
The SteamBoost also has a water tank on the outside, just like the SteamCrisp. You receive steaming trays that you can use to prepare dishes. You can heat up salmon or broccoli, or poach fish without flavors mixing. The taste remains better and the vitamins and minerals are kept. You also have less dishes to do, because you can put all the ingredients together in one tray. In the steaming oven, you can also prepare crispy bread, tender meat, crème brûlée, and rice.
SteamPro: steam meals like a professional
With the SteamPro, you can cook like a professional chef. The oven has a larger removable water tank on the outside. You can prepare dishes with 100% steam or with the fan oven in combination with high, medium, or low humidity. With Steamify, you can select the desired temperature. The oven then automatically selects the best amount of steam. With the oven, you can prepare dishes sous-vide or use the food sensor that checks the core temperature of your dish.
CombiQuick: heat up meals high-level
The compact CombiQuick oven combines a fan oven with the speed of a microwave. You can prepare, grill, heat up, or defrost dishes with the same quality of a large model. The hot air circulates evenly and steady through the oven space thanks to the multi-fan oven. As a result, the oven heats up faster and reduces the preparation time with 20%.
Useful baking sheets
With the AirFry baking sheet by AEG, you can bake crispy and golden brown oven fries. Because the baking sheet has little holes, the hot air also reaches your dish from the bottom. This ensures even baking and crispiness. In addition, AEG also has an Easy2Clean enamel baking sheet with a special ceramic non-stick layer. With this baking sheet, you don't have to use baking paper. It's also very easy to clean. The baking sheets only fit in AEG and Zanussi ovens.
