The most common errors of Hoover washing machines

Your Hoover washing machine displays an error code or the display is flashing. There may be a problem with the water supply, the door won't close, or there's too much foam in the drum. You can often solve the error yourself. If you can't, our repair service is happy to help you with those errors. Read what to do when your Hoover washing machine malfunctions here.

If your Hoover machine machine shows one of these errors, you've come to the right place.

  • Error code E2: there's a problem with the water supply.
  • Error code E3: the washing machine won't drain the water.
  • Error code E4: there's too much foam in the drum.
  • Error code E7: there's a problem with the door.

Hoover error code E2: no water supply

The display of your Hoover washing machine displays the E2 error code or the LED light flash 2 times. There may be a problem with the water supply.

  1. Open the valve of the water drain completely.
  2. Check if the supply hose is straight and isn't kinked.
  3. Place the drain hose up to 85cm above the ground.
  4. Clean the drain filter, which you can find at the bottom.

You see the error code E3 or LED lights flashing 3 times. It's possible that there's a problem with the water drain.

  1. Clean the drain filter at the bottom of the washing machine.
  2. Check if there's a button or hairclip stuck in there and remove it.
  3. Make sure the drain hose is straight and isn't kinked.
  4. Check if the drain hose is clogged and clean it.

If you see the error code E4 or the LED lights flash 4 times, there's too much foam or water in the drum.

  1. Empty the drum and turn on the cleaning program.
  2. Repeat this program if necessary.
  3. Note: never too use much detergent or fabric softener.

You see the error code E7 or the LED lights flash 7 times.

  1. Check if there's laundry stuck between the door and push it into the drum.
  2. Prevent an overloaded drum and take out some laundry.
  3. Close the door until you hear it click.
  4. Is the door locked? Turn off the washing machine and unplug it from the socket.
  5. After 2 minutes, open the door and restart the program.

You may see a different error code on the display. Try the following:

  1. Turn off the washing machine and unplug the connector from the socket.
  2. Redistribute your laundry in the drum.
  3. After 2 minutes, turn the washing machine back on.
  4. Choose a cycle and press 'Start'.
