5 tips to remove stains from your clothes

Get started with removing stains
Every stain requires a different treatment. We'll give you the most important tips.
- Tip 1. Grease or oil: rub a bit of dish soap on the stain.
- Tip 2. Tomato sauce: spread toothpaste on the stain.
- Tip 3. Red wine: pour baking soda and white natural vinegar on it, or use white wine.
- Tip 4. Makeup: dab water with white natural vinegar on the stain, or use shaving foam.
- Tip 5. Grass: spray the stain with glass cleaner, or use green soap. Note: always test on a discreet piece of fabric first.
Tip 1: remove grease or oil
With a grease or oil stain, do the following:
- Spread a bit of dish soap on the stain.
- Let it soak for about 10 minutes.
- Do you have an issue with candle wax? Fold a paper towel and lay it on the stain.
- Iron the paper towel, so it absorbs the wax, and wash your clothes afterwards.
- Rune a wash cycle and look for the right temperature on the laundry label.
Tip 2: remove tomato sauce
Tomato sauce on your clothes? You can remove the stain like this:
- Spread toothpaste on the stain.
- This solution works best with a light fabric.
- Wash your clothes like you're used to afterwards.
Tip 3: remove red wine
Get started right away with red wine:
- Spread baking soda over the stain.
- Pour white natural vinegar over it.
- Pour until the baking soda dissolves. Be aware, this will bubble.
- Gently dry the spot with a cloth.
- Another way: pour white wine over the stain and wait 20 minutes.
- Rinse the stain with cold water and make sure it doesn't get on the rest of your clothes.
- Wash your clothes in the washing machine, and look for the temperature on the laundry label.
Tip 4: remove makeup
Oh no, lipstick or foundation on your shirt. That's no problem with these tips:
- Mix water with white natural vinegar on a cotton swab.
- Gently dry the spot. Note: don't rub too hard.
- Another way: let dish soap soak on the stain.
- Another solution: spray the stain with shaving foam and gently rub it in.
- Run a wash cycle like you're used to.
Tip 5: remove grass
