You can solve phone call problems with the tips below:
- Tip 1. Check for problems with your provider.
- Tip 2. Check your blocked numbers.
- Tip 3. Check if your forwarding calls from your number.
- Tip 4. Make sure that 'Do Not Disturb' is off on your iPhone.
- Tip 5. Download the latest iOS version.
Tip 1: check for problems with your provider
If your provider has blocked phone plans, you won't be able to receive or make calls. Check whether your phone plan was blocked with your provider. If that's not the case, ask your provider if there is or has been a nationwide outage recently.
Tip 2: check your blocked numbers
Did you block numbers? You won't be able to call or receive calls from those numbers. This is how you can unblock numbers:
- Navigate to 'Settings'.
- Choose 'Phone'.
- Tap 'Blocked contacts'.
- Choose 'Edit' and unblock the blocked numbers.
Tip 3: check if you're forwarding calls from your number
If you're forwarding calls to a different device, you'll only receive phone calls on the device you've forwarded your calls to. You can turn it off with the steps below.
- Navigate to 'Settings'.
- Choose 'Phone'.
- Tap 'Call Forwarding'.
- Turn off 'Call Forwarding'.
Tip 4: make sure 'Do Not Disturb' is off on your iPhone
Are you still not receiving calls? Check if 'Do Not Disturb' is off on your iPhone. If it's on, you won't be able to receive phone calls. It's easy to turn it off.
- Navigate to 'Settings' and tap 'Focus'.
- Choose 'Do Not Disturb'.
- Turn off 'Do Not Disturb' here.
Tip 5: download the latest iOS version
It's important for your iPhone to always run on the latest version of the iOS operating system. This way, you make sure your calling functions work properly. Navigate to 'Settings', choose 'General', and tap 'Software Update'. Is there a new update available? Install it.
