You usually replace the water filter every 2 months, or when your coffee machine indicates it's time to do it. This always depends on the hardness of your tap water and how many cups of coffee you make per day. The De'Longhi water filter fits in your coffee machine seamlessly.
Step 1: prepare the water filter
- Set the round dial on the water filter 2 months ahead.
- Hold the filter under the faucet until the water streams out of the openings sideways.
- Remove the water tank from the machine and fill it with water up to 'MAX'.
- Submerge the filter in the full water tank. Keep it at an angle and squeeze softly, so all of the bubbles escape.
- Place the filter in the water tank and push it in place in the round opening.
- Put the water tank back into the machine.
Step 2: install the water filter
- Press the 'settings' button to go to the menu of your coffee machine and press the arrow buttons to go to 'maintenance'. Press 'OK'.
- Press the arrow buttons until you arrive at 'install filter' and press 'OK'.
- Place a container of at least 500ml under the steam wand and press 'OK' again to start a rinse.
