Clean the milk system on a daily basis by rinsing all of the parts with water and some dish soap. Clean the milk system with De'Longhi EcoMultiClean milk cleaner once every week. This milk cleaner removes all milk residue from the milk system.
Step 1: prepare the cleaning
- Remove the milk reservoir from the machine.
- Press the release button and remove the lid by lifting it.
- Remove the milk spout and intake tube.
- Check if the hole of the connector for the intake tube isn't blocked.
- Turn the froth adjustment dial right to 'insert' and remove the head.
Step 2: start cleaning
- Clean all parts of the milk frother with warm water and a mild cleaner. You can also put the parts in the dishwasher. Make sure you place the parts in the upper basket in the dishwasher.
- When you use the De'Longhi milk cleaner every week, you submerge all of the parts in a mixture of lukewarm water and milk cleaner.
- Make sure there's no milk residue left in the notch and groove below the button. You can use a toothpick to clean this if necessary.
- Rinse the inside of the froth adjustment dial and the opening of the connector for the milk frother with running water.
- Check that the intake tube and spout don't contain any milk residue anymore.
