How do you get the WMF Perfection ready for use?

Before you can start making coffee with your new WMF coffee machine, you have to make it ready for use in 3 steps. We'll go through these steps with you:

• Step 1. Connect the machine
• Step 2. Set the water hardness
• Step 3. Install the water filter

You need:

• Water hardness test strip
• Water filter
• Container of at least 600ml

1. Plug the connector into the socket.
2. Press the on/off button to switch on the coffee machine.
3. Select the right language with the arrow keys and click 'OK' to confirm.
4. Enter the time and date and confirm with 'OK'.
5. The coffee machine will now as you to set the water hardness.

Fill a glass of water and put the water hardness test strip in the water for 5 seconds.

1. Wait for 1 minute and check which boxes on the strip have changed color. The number of red boxes indicates the water hardness of the water.
2. Enter the water hardness and press 'OK' to confirm.
3. The coffee machine will ask you to install the water filter now.

1. Take the water filter and set the date on the water filter to the current month.
2. Remove the attachment from the water filter and screw the water filter into place in the water tank.
3. Remove the attachment as soon as the water filter is in place. You can do this by pushing the attachment to the right.
4. Take the water tank out of the coffee machine and fill it with fresh water.
5. Place a 600ml container under the coffee outlet.
6. The machine rinses for 5 minutes.
7. When rinsing is done, 'Installation completed' appears on the display. Confirm with 'ok'.
8. Remove the container and empty it in the sink.
