The Omron EVOLV is easy to place around the arm. Another advantage is that you can use it over tight clothes. You turn on the blood pressure monitor by pressing the start/stop button. It'll start the reading right away. During the reading, you'll see a heart beating. This heart beats at the same speed as your own heart rate. When your blood pressure has been measures, both the systolic and diastolic pressure are shown on the screen. These readings are stored on the device.

Error
The purpose of the blood pressure monitor is to measure the heart rate as accurately as possible. To test this, I started performing some errors on purpose. The EVOLV noticed them every time. When you wear clothes that are too thick, it's hard for the device to get the right information. After 10 seconds, the device also stopped and I got the message that clothes were in the way. When you move too much, the reading also isn't reliable. The blood pressure monitor also registered this when I was twisting a bit on my chair.
Application
An important part of the reading is the Omron Connect app. When you've downloaded the app, you have to connect it first. You can easily do this by pressing one of the buttons a bit longer. The app is really helpful. When you've performed a new reading, it's sent to the app automatically. If it takes a while, you can swipe the screen down to reload it. You can also look back on old readings to see if your blood pressure isn't spiking or dropping.
Conclusion
The Omron EVOLV does exactly what it promises. The cuff is easy to place around your arm, and the readings are accurate. Errors are registered instantly, so you know the readings are reliable. The application keeps track of all your readings well. To use the memory function and look back on readings, you do need a smartphone.
