If you've ever held an iPhone 5 or an iPhone 5s, you already know how the iPhone SE (2016) feels. It has the exact same design. Thanks to its compact size, the phone feels comfortable in my hand. And most importantly, I can easily control it with 1 hand. The iPhone SE (2016) is a bit more angular than the iPhone 6, so it's easier to hold as well. The Apple iPhone SE (2016) may not be the most original model, but it's a familiar and proven design.
Specifications explained
For this model, Apple has combined the hardware of the 6s with the design of the iPhone 5s. Except for a few things: the Apple iPhone SE (2016) doesn't have 3D Touch. It has the same 1.2 megapixel selfie camera as the iPhone 5s. With 12 megapixels, the rear camera is the same as that of the iPhone 6s. The SE (2016) also has the same A9 processor as the 6s. The iPhone SE (2016) is a sizable powerhouse, but I can still easily operate it with 1 hand.
Design of the Apple iPhone SE (2016)
I think the Apple iPhone SE (2016) is small for today's standards. Other than that, I find this phone more comfortable to use than a larger version. I don't constantly feel like the device could slip out of my hands any moment. I can reach all corners of the screen with my thumb without having to adjust the position of my hand. And I hardly feel the iPhone SE (2016) in my pocket even when wearing the occasional tight pants. In short, I haven't found any faults in the design.
Camera of the Apple iPhone SE (2016)
The Apple iPhone SE (2016) has a 12-megapixel camera that lets me take great photos. The photos are true-to-life and detailed. I think the interface is user-friendly. Although the camera of the iPhone SE (2016) is the best iPhone camera so far, it lags behind some Android competitors. For example the models that already have a dual camera. I'm not particularly excited about the selfie camera either. It has a resolution of 1.3 megapixel, which is clearly outdated if you ask me.
Conclusion
The Apple iPhone SE (2016) is a personal favorite. I had to get used to the smaller screen. But this loss of surface is largely compensated by the fact that I can operate this device with 1 hand and that I can easily carry it no matter which pants I'm wearing. I'm also very happy with the good camera that I have with the iPhone SE (2016). I think the device is very pleasant to use and there are only few points of critique, which are not that bad in my opinion.
