First impression of the Apple iPhone SE 2022
The iPhone SE 3 comes in the well-known flat box. Since 2020, Apple no longer includes an adapter and EarPods with the iPhone. This means you have to purchase those separately. In addition to the iPhone SE 2022, the box contains a small folder with booklets, an Apple sticker, and a SIM needle. There's also a 1m USB-C to Lightning cable in the box, which allows me to charge the device or connect it to a laptop, for example
Same design as the iPhone SE 2
The design is exactly the same as that of the iPhone SE 2. It still has the thick bezels and a Touch ID home button. Many devices don't have that anymore, so the design feels a bit outdated to me. It's a small device that I can easily control with 1 hand. The back is made of glass, which allows you to charge the device wirelessly. And the matte aluminum casing gives the device a luxurious look.
Powerful Apple A15 Bionic chip
The iPhone SE 3 has the Apple A15 Bionic chip. The iPhone 13 (Mini) and 13 Pro (Max) also have this powerful chip. Thanks to this processor, the battery lasts longer, you have more camera options, and more. The device does everything fast. Both standard apps and 3D games open quickly. And despite the 3GB RAM, you can multitask smoothly. In addition, it's good to know that the device will last until at least 2027 thanks to the A15 chip.
4.7-inch HD screen
The iPhone SE 2022 has a compact 4.7-inch HD screen. This is currently the smallest screen of all available iPhone models. It's only an HD screen, but the images look sharp and the colors vibrant. The screen is too small to comfortably watch movies and series on for longer periods of time, in my opinion. The screen is clear and legible. The maximum brightness isn't as high as that of the iPhone 13, for example. So it's not clearly visible when it's very sunny.
2-hour longer battery life
One of the big advantages compared to the iPhone SE 2 is the longer battery life. The A15 chip is an energy-efficient processor, so the device lasts a whole working day with average use. On a working day, I can watch multiple YouTube videos, frequently browse through my social media, and check my email. A full battery is enough for about 8 to 9 hours.

Sharp photos in bright light
The 12-megapixel camera on the back performs well in bright light. All my photos look sharp and the colors look lifelike. Thanks to smart technologies like Deep Fusion and HDR 4, photos look better than photos taken with the iPhone SE 2. The colors are richer and photos slightly sharper. The same applies to the selfie camera on the front. I can Facetime in good quality, and selfies look good in bright light. The iPhone SE 3 doesn't have a night mode, so the cameras perform less well in the dark or in low-light situations.

The Apple iPhone SE 2022 is a straightforward, compact device. Thanks to the A15 chip, the device is extremely fast and you can be sure that it'll last for at least 5 years. With a single rear camera, you can take sharp photos in environments with bright light. And with the small 4.7-inch HD screen, you can easily control the device with 1 hand. This does make it less suitable to watch movies and series.
