How do you reset a SolarEdge system?

In this manual, we'll explain step by step how to reset your Solaredge monitoring system.

Step-by-step plan part 1

  1. Open the mySolarEdge app on your smartphone or tablet.
  2. Press the 3 stripes at the top left (see the image on the right).
  3. Now, select Inventer Communicaton.

  1. Scan the QR code on the side of the inverter.
  2. Move the switch below the inverter to the left for 1 second. Here, it says P. After 1 second, you can move the switch back to the starting position in the center.
  3. A connection is now being set up between your phone and the inverter. Did this work? Press configure. Tap Forget with your current WiFi connection. The inerter will now search for available networks.
  4. Select the right network and enter the password of your WiFi network. Tap Join.
  5. When your inverter and your WiFi network are connected, the SolarEdge app will confirm this. Tap OK followed by Back to dashboard.
  6. The monitoring is active again.

Note

SolarEdge only supports 2.4GHz networks. Did you switch your modem, router, or provider? Check your settings if you can't set up a connection. Often, your modem is set to dual-band mode, which means both 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz. To complete this step by step plan successfully, we recommend you to set your modem to 2.4GHz only. After the inverter was able to connect, you can turn on 5.0GHz again.

These settings may vary between modems. We recommend you to contact your provider for further questions.
