How do you register your solar panels with the network operator?

After the solar panels have been installed on your roof, it's important to register them with your network operator. You can easily do this in 3 steps. In this article, we'll tell you everything on this.

Register solar panels in 3 steps

Register solar panels

You're obligated by law to register your solar panels with your network operator. You can easily do this in 3 steps:

  • Step 1. Create an account.
  • Step 2. Enter your information.
  • Step 3. Send your information.

Step 1: create an account

Fuse box number

Go to Energieleveren.nl. This is the joint website of all network operators. Enter your postal code, house number, and the last 6 digits of your fuse box number. Do you have a smart meter? You'll find this number under or above the barcode. If you have a different meter, you'll recognize the number by 'Nr.' or 'No.' in front of the number sequence.

Step 2: enter your information

  • The start date, which is the date we installed the solar panels

You can find all this information in the quote.

At the last step, you send your information. Your network operator will check whether your energy meter is suitable for feed-in. If this is the case, your network operator will contact your energy supplier. That way, everything will be set correctly for the feed-in tariff. You're now ready to generate green power.
