Second Chance ASUS ZenWiFi BT8 2-pack

I had an outdated Apple Airport system at home, but the range was often not good so I wanted to renew it. To make a difference I opted for something that would last another 10 years. Now I am of course spoiled by the simplicity with which the Apple Airport system works (really sublime), but this is the opposite. Impossible! Much too complicated!
First the positive: This product looks very neat. Not Apple level, but it comes close.
Now the negative: As already said, the installation is very complex and only suitable for advanced users. Only suitable for people who understand networks and the jargon surrounding them. I will not go into the details, but in the end there is no stable connection, it helps to restart the device every now and then, but that takes forever (the old Airport systems needed at most 1 minute, this easily takes 3 - 4 minutes). I want the devices to be connected to each other wired, but they seem to want to communicate with each other wirelessly all the time (which does not work stably). It also only works if the devices are connected to each other or via a switch (this is not necessary with the Airport system). I have an old house with wooden floors and few walls and the devices are at most 6 meters apart and yet it is unstable. The interface of the application has endless settings. I have been working on it for a day, but I will try again this coming weekend (who knows, I might have to retract this review). If it doesn't work, then I'll just go back to the old Apple routers. In short, if you are a nerd you will be happy with this, if you want plug-and-play: DON'T DO IT

See my previous review. It took a while but I got everything installed properly. I connected everything with a cable and my mistake was that I connected the 1st (main) router to the switch (or better, after the switch). The trick is that the 1st router must be connected directly to the modem and only then the other routers, switches, computers and printers. My mistake. For the rest, it remains a product with many settings and it is useful to search for explanations on the internet. Everything has been working stable for about 3 weeks now and the internet is indeed nice and fast and stable.
