If there is a promotion in the supermarket, I like to stock up on groceries. With this fridge-freezer combination I have enough space for this. I keep my meat, fish, vegetables and fruit fresh for longer thanks to the fresh zones. The deep freezer drawers also give me plenty of room for a stack of pizza boxes and tubs of ice cream. I therefore definitely recommend the refrigerator.

First impression
The freestanding fridge freezer combination has a sleek design with an anthracite door. This stylishly blends into my interior. The display is on the front, so I can adjust the temperature from the outside. This way I open the door less often and the temperature does not fluctuate. Although the door is frosted, I see fingerprints a little faster. When I open the fridge-freezer combination, I notice how spacious it is. With a net volume of 409 liters, I have enough space for a large supply of groceries. I put up to 5 bottles of wine firmly on the bottle rack. Thanks to the flexible layout of the fridge, I can decide for myself where I put my food. The door opens a bit heavy, but fortunately I quickly get used to it.

Meat, fish, vegetables and fruit fresh for longer
At the bottom of the cooling compartment I find 2 separate crisper drawers. The Humidity Zone is a crisper drawer with adjustable humidity. Here I keep fruit and vegetables crispy for longer. My Zone, a 0-degree zone, is a drawer for meat and fish. I safely store pieces of salmon fillet here, because the temperature is around 0 degrees Celsius. When I don't have meat or fish, I convert the drawer into a normal refrigerator. I set this via the display. This way I have even more space for cans of soft drinks, for example.

Very quiet
What also strikes me is that I have little trouble with noise with a maximum noise level of 35 decibels. This means I can also put the fridge in a small or open kitchen. I occasionally hear buzzing, but it doesn't bother me.

Spacious freezer drawers for pizzas
Behind the bottom door I find 3 spacious freezer drawers. I fill the top drawer with a stack of pizza boxes and boxes of fish fingers. In the other drawers I have room for vanilla ice cream, bitterballen and pommes duchesse. When I come from the supermarket, I set super freeze. This way it stays cold in the freezer and the temperature fluctuates less quickly. Because the drawers are transparent, I can see exactly what I still have in stock. I like that I have less maintenance thanks to No Frost. With this technique, the freezer remains ice-free and I save time and energy. With energy class A, the fridge-freezer combination is very energy efficient.

Once the refrigerator was in place, the setup could begin. Downloading and installing the Haier app, the hOn app, was easy. After which you can add the refrigerator by scanning the QR code, which is on the inside of the refrigerator. You can set the refrigerator, My Zone and freezer separately in terms of temperature via the app. You can also use the app to note the contents of each section, including the expiration date. However, the app then crashed for me. I think keeping track of the contents of the refrigerator is unnecessary, but it can be useful for others.
In the refrigerator compartment you immediately notice how deep the edges are. There are two of us and we have room to spare. The layout of the edges is easy to adjust and under one of the edges you can fold out a bottle rack in which you can store 5 bottles. There are also various compartments in the door that you can place at different heights where you can also store a few tall bottles. The compartments in the door, just like the edges, are a lot larger than our current refrigerator and everything feels very robust. The door does close with a bang, but you may have to get used to that. The drawers slide smoothly and you feel that, just like the compartments in the door, they can really take a beating. The Fresher Techs drawer has a kind of grid at the top, which ensures a correct climate in the drawer, especially for more sensitive products such as vegetables, fruit and cheese. After 2 weeks the apples still feel and look the same. The My Zone drawer is a few degrees lower than the rest of the refrigerator and that is clearly noticeable. Ideal for storing fresh fish and meat. We could easily fit the 3 drawers of our other freezer in the 3 very spacious drawers of the freezer. We were left with one drawer after that. This refrigerator is user-friendly, has a good constant temperature, is very quiet and you never have to defrost thanks to the Non Frost technology. It has energy label A, so it is also very economical. In short, this refrigerator is highly recommended.
