First bought the Brother MFCJ5740DW. Scanning via the button on the printer did not work. Called Brother. On advice used a number of drivers and utilities. Did not help. Then bought the Brother MFCJ6955DW (this one). Same problem. Called Brother again. Employee told me that scanning from the printer does not work because the software does not match Windows 11 (which I have). It annoyed me so much that I switched to the Epson WorkForce WF-7840DTWF. Works fine.
