The noise canceling strongly reduces ambient sounds and white noise. Turn on this function and enjoy your favorite songs without being disturbed. When you start a conversation with someone, the music automatically pauses and ambient noise is amplified. That way, you don't have to take off the headphones. Download the Sony Headphones Connect app to adjust this smart function to your needs. To adjust the sound, select the equalizer in the app. You can determine how your favorite songs sound.
Noise cancelingNoise canceling is a technology that measures ambient noise and then reduces it with a counter-noise. This way, you hear less of your surroundings and more of your music. With the noise canceling switched on, you can listen to music for 30 hours on a fully charged battery.
Wear detectionThe headphones not only detect when you start talking, but also when you take them off or put them on. There's a sensor in the left ear cup that knows when the headphones are on your ears. Did you take them off? The music pauses. Did you put them back on? The song continues.
Multipoint pairingYou can easily connect the XM4 to 2 playback devices at the same time via multipoint pairing. The headphones automatically switch between both connected devices, such as a computer and smartphone. When you play a song on your phone and then watch a video on your computer, the headphones automatically switch the connection.
Sound according to the expertThese headphones produce a powerful bass. Thanks to an accent around 125Hz, the bass is very clearly present. The mid tones are balanced, which means that instruments and vocals aren't any more or any less audible. That way, they don't deviate from how the artist intended them to sound. You can use the equalizer when you want to change the emphasis on the low, medium, and high tones. This way, you can adjust the sound to your own taste.
