Lenovo Legion Go

Great handheld! Coming from the Steam Deck and the Asus ROG Ally, nothing can match this screen! Not even the Oled SD according to me! It's just fantastic to experience the size of this screen and yet its portability! Also comes with a carrying case that is built like a tank, looks a bit like the SD case. FPS mode is a game changer! Control your character with the left controller as you would with a keyboard where WSAD has been replaced by your joystick (Hall effect btw! No more stick drift!) And the right controller functions as a kind of vertical mouse, very precise! Takes some time to get used to, but after half an hour you will be achieving killstreaks on your favorite shooter!

Fantastic handheld! Only the software could be a little better, but Lenovo devs keep an eye on YT, FB and the subReddit, they even communicate with the community in an informal way with info about what they are working on at the moment and ETAs for future updates.

In short, even if you have the SD or an Ally, you should not miss this one!

I was in doubt for a long time whether I should get the ASUS ROG Ally or wait for the Go, glad I waited! Between the two, the convenience of Thunderbolt for connecting the screen, keyboard and mouse and charging at the same time is a crucial difference with the ASUS.

For people who don't like Windows, this is just a Windows tablet. Do you like the Windows ecosystem and want a gaming handheld? Then this is currently the best choice in my opinion.

The battery life is short, 1 - 3 hours depending on how demanding the game is, but comparable to other handhelds in this class.

The Legion Go software does work, but it is very clumsy and I have disabled it. I only use it to occasionally check whether there are updates for the controllers. (the rest goes via Windows Update)

I think this is really great!! I've always been a fan of handhelds and switched from the Steam Deck because I really enjoy working with Windows (yes, tastes differ...).

What I especially like is that you can remove the controllers and use them as a mouse, which makes it much easier to play mouse games such as WoW or COD. That works quite well!

The large screen is also nice to watch. So it is actually a kind of Windows tablet where the screen also works with Touch operation and that works very well! I didn't expect all this to work so well (the FPS controller and the Touch controls).

All my games and game launchers such as STEAM, BATTLE.NET, GOG, XBOX game pass, RIOT, EPIC, ROCKSTAR etc. etc. work well on it, I have had no problem with installations or hassle. No hassle with Windows either, it all works properly and smoothly. I even tried connecting my drawing tablet (HUION 4k KAMAS) to it and that works fine too!

I really thought long and hard about which Windows handheld I should buy, a ROG, a CLAW or a LEGION. I am happy with this choice. I think Lenovo has created this device very nicely!
