I was able to test this hair straightener and curling iron in one from Remington. Especially when my hair has just been washed, it is quite frizzy. With the hair straightener that fits comfortably in my hand, I get perfect frizz-free locks. The temperature is easy to set and the device heats up quickly. It is nice that the plates are long, which allows you to smooth out larger strands. The device itself recognizes whether the covers are up and the plates are unlocked for straightening the hair, or when the covers are down and the plates are locked for curling the hair. When curling the hair, you can grip the cool end of the curling iron for more grip.

I was allowed to test this straightener/curling iron and I am not completely satisfied, especially with the curling part. The device comes with a beautiful and handy velor case and a well-functioning heat-resistant glove. I prefer to straighten my hair before curling it, but that is not possible with this device. After styling it is too warm to convert it to the curl function and if you let it cool down first, it actually does not get warm enough to curl properly. The curls are also too large, causing them to sag quickly. The straightener heats up quickly, even if it takes a little longer than the 20 seconds they claim it takes. Too bad there is no beep when the hair straightener has reached the right temperature. The straightener gives a nice frizz-free result and incredibly soft hair. My hair is quite thick so that works fine, but if you have thinner hair, I think there is too much space between the plates.
