According to our monitor expert
Jump into high gear with your online games on the HP OMEN 27k inches 144Hz 4K gaming monitor. Thanks to the 144Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time, you game with smooth images that look extra sharp in 4K resolution. That way, you can play games up to 4 times sharper than in Full HD and enjoy the sharpest details. Do you game with a video card? No worries, the monitor has FreeSync Premium. You can synchronize an AMD video card with this and prevent screen tearing and slowdowns this way, even when you've turned on HDR. Enjoy extra vibrant colors thanks to the QHD resolution, 95% coverage within the DCI-P3 space, and the DisplayHDR 400 support. This color space displays more colors, so a lake or sea really looks blue. More of a console gamer? Connect your PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S via the HDMI 2.0 port and enjoy 120Hz Full HD console gaming. You can also tilt and adjust the monitor in height to set up an ergonomic sitting position. This prevents back and neck pain after a long gaming session. Are the DisplayPort and HDMI ports full and want to connect an extra PC? No problem. The USB-C port combines power, data, and image. You can quickly switch between all connected devices via the built-in KVM switch, so you don't have to constantly switch cables. That's useful in case you also use the monitor for work, for example.
Note: you need a very powerful video card for 4K gaming, like an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti or AMD Radeon RX 6000-series GPU.

I am very satisfied with this screen. My goal was a screen for home work, gaming, and music production via Ableton live. I use this as an extension for my ASUS rog flow Ultimately, 144Hz is sufficient for shooters, the colors are nice, I don't see any backlight bleeding (I didn't notice anything special during startup....). It is razor sharp, no pixels can be distinguished. No dead pixels either. While gaming, I lower the render resolution to 2560 x 1440 (or even 1920 x 1080), and this screen does this just fine, without apparently losing sharpness. At full resolution it is fantastically detailed, and reading text or viewing my DAW or VST plugins is very pleasant and less tiring than before, both on my smaller laptop screen and on my previous 24" FHD screen. That KVM switch is handy I connect the keyboard, mouse, SSD disk and USB to ETH adapter to the USB A port via a separate USB hub. My laptop is only connected to the USB-C port of the screen via USB-C 3.2, so it can be connected via that small cable is possible to simultaneously project the 4k image at 144 HZ, when connected to the external keyboard and mouse. My desktop is then connected via Digiport (HDMI 2.1 was also possible), and via a USB A port to the USB B of the screen. When I press the KVM switch, my desktop is then connected to the keyboard and mouse, and I get to see the image. So handy. I had hesitated between this Omen 24k and the LG27GR93U-B. I found the LG's leg less attractive, and the screen is therefore also +- 24cm from the wall. And LG doesn't have a KVM switch, and I didn't like that frame at the bottom. Maybe the LEDS on the back are a bit brighter, but who cares? For the rest, they are virtually the same screens, in the same price range. All necessary cables are in the box + installation manual. I can go back away for a while...

It is a nice monitor with sharp colors. The software that you can download is useful (gaming hub). I received 3 types of cables. Also one for HDMI.

Nice monitor with razor-sharp images. It works very well with games. Monitor performs better on Windows 11 than Windows 10. Probably due to the HDR function.
