DJI Avata Pro View Combo 2.0

Nice drone to learn to fly fpv with. Too bad the DJI simulator doesn't work with this combo

The goggles and the motion controller provide a cool experience and ensure that you can take beautiful images. You do not have many of the options of the other drones, such as a circle to create an object, etc. For me, the noise level of the Avata is a showstopper. You can hear it 200m further and that is not always desirable. However, you can also use the goggles and the motion controller to control other drones such as the DJI Mini 3 (not yet 4). You can no longer hear this drone at a distance of 10 meters and I had to buy one as well.

I hesitated for a long time about building a drone myself and after carefully selecting all the components after a few months of study, I finally went for this FPV drone. You miss some of the fun of building, but the drone has such a beautiful and extensive functionality that you can start flying immediately as a novice pilot (my first flights were even indoors due to the bad weather). The software has some flaws here and there, but nothing that limits you. Quite a fast drone, but with the RC Motion 2 controller you can fly around anywhere really smoothly. After a few weeks I bought the Controller 2 to learn to fly in manual mode and hopefully do my first loops soon. For the time being I can manage with 1 battery, but once the days get longer and the weather gets nicer I will have to buy an extra set. Be sure to register yourself as a drone operator and take the theory and exam for the Open Category. Also read carefully about the restrictions imposed on the use of drones in public spaces, because they have been quite strict for this type of drone, especially since January 1, 2024.
