Philips Viva Collection Mixer HR3740/00

The mixer can prepare all baked goods and is very easy to use. It feels solid and powerful. The plug-in mixers are nice and sturdy. It therefore feels like a sustainable product. The settings have a nice build-up in speed and the mixers click in and out easily. When the mixer is on, it feels light in the hand. What I also really like about this mixer is that the dough does not creep up. I have experienced this with previous mixers. It also goes nicely along the edges and gives each dough a nice smooth emulsion. In short, I am very satisfied and can recommend it to everyone.

I had the opportunity to test this mixer and it evokes nostalgia. Before the food processor came along, batter was kneaded this way and this mixer still does a great job. I think the instructions for use are a bit brief, which makes it difficult for me to click the hooks into the machine at first. Once successful, they run fine. It is especially a nice mixer if you want to make cookie dough/cake batter or bread dough and do not necessarily need the food processor. I find the spiral hooks easier to use, for every type of dough/batter, than the whisks. The latter quickly became full of dough, making it a mess to get dough back into the bowl. You should also first stir the ingredients together before turning on the mixer. Otherwise you will quickly end up with dough splashes all over the countertop and the machines on it.

Just a nice little machine that does what it is supposed to do, ideal for uncomplicated preparation
