The OP10 may not be as exciting as it used to be, but it still does pretty much everything it used to. Most people who are long time fans of OP will not agree with the high price, but this device feels many times more premium than the first OP devices I think the price / quality is still good for what you get . the OP10 is still much cheaper than Samsung, Sony, Apple, etc. For those who don't want to leave OP but don't want to pay that much, the Nord is perfect. One of the biggest strengths of OP remains its performance. The device is lightning fast and it can handle the most intensive games with ease, it also does not heat up as quickly as other devices during gaming, so the battery will last longer. The battery easily lasts a day with the screen on QHD+ and 120Hz and I'm still amazed every day how fast the charging goes, with a 15-minute charge you actually have enough for the whole day. I always choose an OP phone partly because of the software and the near-stock experience. Fortunately, the near-stock experience is still the same, but Oxygen OS 12 feels a bit less refined than the previous versions. I find the location of the shelf quite irritating because I get it to the front every time I actually want to go to my notifications. It has now also taken a step back in personalization with the gestures and app drawer among other things, I noticed that my beloved settings are gone. I was also a big fan of the hidden app drawer for apps I used less often, but it's too clunky for me to use now. There are rumors that Oxygen OS 13 will bring a lot of improvements so I hope these are just temporary glitches. In online reviews you will find that the camera is not that good, but I do not agree with this. It may not be as good as the competition, but it certainly doesn't have a bad camera. My focus is more on the phone's performance than camera quality and I'm absolutely satisfied with the few shots I shoot in a week. I really notice a clear improvement than the OP from a few generations back. If your focus is on the camera and you want the best of the best then it is better to look for other brands, but I think most people will be happy with this camera. Another downside is that this device only gets 3 years of Android and 4 years of security updates. I am now upgrading from the OP 7 Pro because it no longer receives android updates, but this device actually worked perfectly. The OP 10 Pro doesn't feel significantly better than the OP 7 Pro. The only improvements now are the processor, heat dissipation, camera and charging. Smartphones from 10 years ago were already quite outdated after 2 years and sometimes only lasted that long, but nowadays they last at least 5 years. It would therefore grace OnePlus to offer software updates for a longer period of time. Even with the few negatives, I am very satisfied with the OP10 overall. The device may not be very exciting but it does what it's supposed to do and is perfect for people who want good performance, no bloatware and almost stock Android with just those extra few optimization options for a lower price than other flagship phones. . If your current phone still works well, I would just wait until it is at least 4 generations old.

My first OnePlus ever. No regrets at all. After buying the S series from Samsung for years... Can compete with top brands and for less money...

I come from a Moto G6 and I really doubted between this one, a samsung and the iphone 13. If it wasn't too late, I think I would have exchanged it. It has a number of plus points, but because of the rapidly decreasing battery life and the constant warming up with the smallest effort, I don't think it is a device worth its price category. And I haven't even put it in performance mode yet. In normal use without soc. media, but with newspaper, mail, hourly maps or something like GPS, it sometimes goes from 100 to 55% very quickly. There are days when I start at a hundred and also end up at 28% at night, just like my old motorola with the same apps. You then wonder what this costs is responsible. With a case, it is also just too wide to lie well in the hand. Another common Android problem: incremental ringtone volume. Who invents such a thing? If I had known all this at the time, I think I would have gone for the iPhone 13 sooner.
