The snaps ensure that the shield remains securely in place on the bowl. In addition, you can add ingredients simply via the opening in the shield while you mix. After use, you can clean the pouring shield in the dishwasher.

Note: This pouring shield is only suitable for the 4.3L and 4.8L KitchenAid stand mixers with a tiltable head. This pouring shield doesn't work on other stand mixers.
